Shoes for Norwegian summers only...
The new Weejies are paired with my new Old Navy chinos and some J. Crew socks I picked up a few weeks ago for $3.50 on clearance.
Oh, did I mention the shoes were $0.99 plus shipping?

Cheesefare & Tweed
Today was cold…and our church isn’t very warm inside...so I went with a cardigan/sport coat combo. It was a very warm ensemble, indeed. I didn't wear an overcoat and stayed quite warm despite weather in the 20s.
- Vintage USA-made tweed by Imperial by Haggar
- LL Bean cardigan
- Brooks Brothers OCBD (eBayed a few years ago)
- Merona tie from Target (got it for $4.98)
- Eddie Bauer jeans
- USA-made Bass bucks

The best thing I've heard all day...
Congratulations! The IRS has accepted your federal tax return. There's nothing else you need to do.
Schooooool's out for summer!
That's why I decided to buck my usual trend of flannel and oxford cloth in favor of a madras shirt today. I wore it under a sweater and I quite like how it looks. It's fun and bright, on a day when the weather is dreary. It definitely requires and undershirt to work out. This particular shirt breathes so well it feels as if you're not wearing a shirt at all.
It's an unusual shirt, too. Osh Kosh B'Gosh for adults? Made in USA? I checked the RN number and it was made for them by Van Heusen. I can't get a read on its age, but it must be a few years old given that (I think) Van Heusen shipped all their production overseas in the 90s.
I have another madras shirt hanging up in my basement waiting for warmer temperatures and I think it's coming upstairs to mingle with the rest of my winter wardrobe.
